About the Role 
The SelectQuote internship program aims to build industry knowledge and transferable skills for any professional setting. Regardless of your current skills or experience, this internship offers the chance to further develop them. Interns will handle daily HR tasks and collaborate on special projects, company events, and engaging activities. This blend of routine work, diverse projects, and community involvement ensures a comprehensive learning experience that enhances overall professional growth. 
Supervisory Responsibilities: 
• This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
• Manage technical inquiries from HR system users via the Service Desk (UKG People Assist)
• Perform basic user administration across multiple systems, including the company HRIS (UKG)
• Process Associate Change Request (ACR) forms and new hires in UKG
• Support I-9 verification processes
• Handle unemployment claims by reviewing documentation, coordinating with departments, and ensuring accurate submissions
• Process terminations in UKG, updating employee status and records accurately
• Collaborate on projects, audits, and cleanups with HR workgroups
• Ensure confidentiality and data security of sensitive HR information
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance People Operations
• Stay informed on best practices and tools in Human Resources

• Capacity to manage multiple administrative tasks concurrently while delivering exceptional customer service
• Exceptional communication skills
• Has a self-starter attitude with a high level of motivation
• High level of attention to detail while providing accurate data aligned with departmental standards
• Demonstrates a commitment to maintaining confidentiality consistently
• Proactively engages in self-study to acquire proficiency in new technical applications
Education and Experience:  
• Currently enrolled in Junior or Senior year of college/university pursuing a degree focused in Human Resources, Business, or related field
• Ability to work remotely from home, free of distractions
• Strong proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Proficient in GSuite (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive)
Physical Requirements: 
• Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
